QUALIFICATIONS

I am a Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) since 1995. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Oviedo, Spain, specializing in Clinical Psychology. Following this, I completed a two-year MSc in Clinical Psychology and Behavioural Modification at Cetco clinic, Oviedo, Spain. After moving to the UK, I undertook a Postgraduate Course in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBT) at UCL Medical School (University College of London).

Over the years, I have expanded my expertise by training in Schema Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). These therapeutic approaches often complement CBT and can be integrated into a cohesive treatment plan.

I am Accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) since 1999 and with the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT). I am also registered with the Spanish College of Psychologists (Asturias).

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

I have worked in both the public and private sectors, including primary care NHS  and gaining extensive experience at the Priory Hospital since 1996 as a therapist in both individual and group settings. Beyond clinical work, I have developed in house training programs for junior doctors and nursing staff.

Since 1999, I have run my own private practice at Ten Harley Street in Central London while continuing to work as a Sessional Therapist at the Priory Hospital.

My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, helping clients achieve meaningful and lasting change.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Alongside my clinical work, I have been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Roehampton for over a decade and have also lectured at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Currently, I lecture at Goldsmiths University, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules in CBT.

I also provide clinical supervision to fellow CBT therapists.

SPECIAL INTERESTS
